How to Treat Enlarged Skin Pores
Skin pores plays an important role in moisturizing the skin and keep you young. The oil produced by the sebaceous gland is transmitted through these pores to the skin surface and make the skin soft and smooth.
This condition is mostly seen in people having oily skin and combination skin. If these pores are enlarged, then it may easily get clogged with dust and dirt and produce pimples and other skin infection. It may also make wrinkles on your skin. Here are some remedies for enlarged pores.
Treatments for Enlarged Pores
Cleanliness
Daily wash your face at least two times with a cleanser recommended for oily skin or combination skin. This may help to avoid the clogging of the pores with dust and dirt.
Ex-foliate the Skin
Ex-foliate your skin with a mild exfoliator and repeat this at least twice a week. This will remove the dead tissues build up on your skin and also make your skin pores clean. You can also make scrubbers at your home. Take one tablespoon sugar, two tablespoon milk and one tablespoon oatmeal and make a paste. Use this paste to scrub your face for about 5 minutes and then rinse with water. You can also use buttermilk and salt mixture for exfoliating your skin.
Steaming
You need to steam your face at least once in a week. This may help you to clean the pores deeply as steaming loosen the debris collected in the pores and open the pores to get rid of this debris. After steaming use a deep cleaning face pack.
Oil Controlling Products
Use oil controlling products to control the oil production. This is because excess oil is one of the causes for enlarged oil production. These products will remove the excess oil from the skin surface and thus prevent the clogging of the pores.
If the home treatments are not enough for clearing the enlarged pores then you need to meet a dermatologist who may help you to do microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion is an ideal practice for shrinking the enlarged pores. Laser resurfacing is another treatment for large pores.
