Hydrogen Peroxide and Beauty Tips
Hydrogen peroxide is a beaching agent with good oxidizing property. Hydrogen peroxide in high concentration is also used as a good disinfectant. Hydrogen peroxide is widely used for whitening the teeth, whitening the nails, removing age spots, lightening the hairs etc.
Remove Age Spots
Dip a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide solution and wipe your face with this cotton. If you practice this daily before going to sleep then it will help you to fade your age spots. This may also help you to remove and lighten the blackheads on the skin.
Nail Whitening
If you are using different colors of nail polishes continuously then it may leave a color on your nails. Then it becomes difficult to get back your natural nail color.
Usual nail polish removers may not help you in getting rid of these shades from your nails and hence you can use hydrogen peroxide for this purpose. For this mix one tablespoon of three percent hydrogen peroxide with two teaspoon of baking soda and make a paste. Then dip a cotton swab in this mixture and apply this paste on the nails.
While applying paste care should be taken to apply it under the nail tips also. Allow the paste to penetrate in to the nails for about three minutes and then wash off with warm water. Then dry your hands with a soft towel and apply some moisturizers to retain the moisture on the nails.
Hydrogen Peroxide for Whitening the Teeth
Take half teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and mix it with one teaspoon baking soda. Use this mixture to brush your teeth at least once in a week. This may help you to remove the stains and also reduce the tartar. Then brush your tooth with normal tooth paste and remove the hydrogen peroxide mixture from your teeth. If you have sensitive teeth then avoid the use of hydrogen peroxide.
Lightening the Hair
Take three percent hydrogen peroxide solution and fill it in a spray bottle. Now spray this solution on your hair and comb your hair with a brush. Leave this mixture on the hair and sometimes you need to repeat the spray to get the desired color and then wash off. Also apply conditioner to the hair as hydrogen peroxides makes your hair dry and may leads to breaking of hair.
