Ideal Diet for Hair Growth

The health of the hair is determined by a lot of factors and among the different factors the diet that you take plays a major role. Hair is made of protein mainly however hair also constitutes iron, vitamin B, E, A, C, K, essential fatty acids, sulfur etc. While planning the diet you must consider these things too.

Foods Rich in Vitamins

The foods that are rich in Vitamin B include beans, green vegetables, nuts, sunflower, peas, whole grains, dairy products, wheat germ, eggs .

Vitamin C rich foods include lemons, oranges, melons, limes, berries etc.
Vitamin E rich foods include rice bran, avocados, nuts, legumes, green vegetables, whole grains etc.

Vitamin A is available in sweet potatoes, carrots, broccoli, squash, apricots, cantaloupe etc.

Vitamin K is available from dairy food, seafood, figs, broccoli, Brussels, asparagus, lettuce, sprouts, green leafy vegetables, cabbage, soybeans, oatmeal, yogurt, wheat, egg yolk, liver etc.

Diet for Hair Growth

If you want to grow your hairs take a well balanced diet that is rich in vitamin B, C, A, E and K and also include a lot of proteins. Foods that are rich in proteins include eggs, seeds, meats, cheese, nuts etc. Eat fish because they are rich in protein, natural oil and essential fatty acids.

Diet to Control Hair Loss

The deficiency of iron in your diet leads to the hair fall and hence you need to take iron rich foods like eggs, red meat, wholegrain, legumes, dried fruits, cereals, leafy vegetables. Also include foods that are rich in protein as it helps to strengthen the hair follicles and thus prevents hair fall. Soy protein is considered to be one among the best proteins that stimulate the hair growth. Also

Diet for Oily Hair

The deficiency of vitamin B leads to oiliness in the hair and so you need to take foods that can supply B-complex vitamins. Also avoid oily foods from your diet.

Diet for Dry Hair

The deficiency of essential fatty acid causes dryness in your hair. Foods that can supply essential fatty acids includes sardines, tuna, salmon, trout, mackerel, herrings, olives, seeds, avocados, nuts etc. also include pumpkin seed and flax seed in your diet. Similarly silica also helps to prevent the brittleness of the hairs and thus protects the hair from breaking. Silica rich foods include lettuce, asparagus, strawberry, onion, celery, cauliflower, cucumber, rhubarb etc.

Take a balanced diet that includes plenty of water to keep your hair healthy.
