Foods can help in coping with this situation. Foods that we eat trigger a chain of chemical reactions in the body that can help calm, or even excite the body.
Foods like milk, fruits and vegetables and good for the mother. Fruits and vegetables should be kept as raw as possible, and cooking should be minimal. Wheat flour is good when consumed moderately, as are rice and almond, which should be added, but in the right quantities. These help bring more balance, and also give the body a better disposition.
Fried foods, spices, excess salt, and also meats should be avoided, since they have the tendency to excite the body more. An already agitated mother will only compound her problems if she indulges in the wrong foods. Foods that are fatty and have lots of butter and cheese should also be avoided since they make the body and mind more lethargic, and make coping more difficult.
