Incorporating Exercise Into Your Daily Routine
That there is no time to spare for exercising is a constant refrain heard ever so often. There are many health benefits of exercise. While it may be completely true that there is little scope after long hours of working, either at home or in the office, there are ways to worm your way out of the situation.
What we fail to notice is that almost every action that we make is making some demand on our body. It just takes little effort to pay attention to our routines and see how we can build in some exercise in the way that we do our chores.
Being late to work, for the bus or train, or even to catch up on our chores is something we are all familiar with. Do not be shy to run, you are only doing good. As you run, depletion of oxygen occurs which helps burn fat faster. It helps strengthen heart muscles A short, ten minute walk can help you burn close to one hundred calories.
At home, your daily routine is enough to work your body through. Ironing, chopping vegetables and rolling pancakes can work the elbow joints, triceps, and also the back. Sweeping tones the leg muscles, the lower leg, back and arms. It can easily replace squats at the gym. Doing your household activities keeps the body more active and flexible.
Take the stairs. It helps exercise the lower back and abdomen. The calf muscles, leg, thighs and buttocks all get a complete work out.
Indulge yourself. Playing with your little ones just got more rewarding. Chasing around your children is equivalent to a brisk walk or jog. It can exercise your whole body depending on the kind of activity you are engaged in.
At work, avoid blaming the boring desk job for your excess weight. Get about and run your errabds yourself rather than depending on help. Instead of heading out for a smoke or to the next cubicle for a break, walk a few stairs, or take a quick walk around the block.
