Miracle Body Packs Made At Home

January 13, 2009

We occasionally need some treatment that can help care for our body entirely. Not many of us have the time to spend in getting overly pampered on a regular basis. A simple body pack in the convenience of the home is sufficient in keeping the body fresh and youthful.

Start by taking a towel soaked in hot water and apply over the body. Make a mixture of calamine powder, turmeric powder, sandalwood powder and coarsely ground rice flour. Mix this together with some milk to make a tchink paste. Apply generously over the body and massage well. Leave on for at least fifteen minutes, or alternatively till the pack has dried itself up.

Now sprinkle some water on the pack and continue to make moderate to hard rotary movements on the pack. Once this is done, take a hot towel and wipe off the pack from the body. While each of the powders used have properties that help care for the skin and help soothe it, the rice flour helps exfoliate dead cells and keep younger skin at the surface.

Now mix some all purpose flour, wheat flour and some finger millet powder. To this add a little curd and make a paste that is free flowing and without any lumps. Refrigerate this mixture for at least ten minutes. This allows the mixture to act as a good binsing agent for the skin. Apply well over the skin and relax the body allowing the pack to dry. Once it has dried completely wash off with warm water.

You may also add vegetable and fruit extracts to make the pack more useful in targeting any particular skin conditions you might have. Use a body pack at least twice a month to give you skin complete care and relaxation. This will keep it from drying out, sagging and ageing prematurely and also relax it well.
