Regular consumption of a blend prepared with a pinch of baking soda mixed into a cup of dry wine assists in elimination of accumulated mucus from chest.

The therapeutic benefits of potatoes in natural cures are endless. Inhaling steam of two-three boiled potatoes several times during a day endows with soothing effect and provides immediate relief from spasms, breathlessness etc. The head should always be covered with a towel while taking steams to allow betted inhalation of therapeutic steam.

Drinking a cup of herbal tea prepared with red bilberry during or post asthma attack clears the breathing tube from accumulated mucus. To prepare this herbal tea, 1 tbsp. of fresh or dried red bilberries should be mixed into a cup of boiled temperature and afterwards should be steeped for a maximum of fifteen minutes. This ought to be consumed warmly for best results. This remedy can also be exercised in amalgamation with steaming of potatoes.

Since roman times, the therapeutic baths are considered as most effective remedy to treat ailments related to respiratory tract. It is advisable for persons suffering from frequent attacks of asthma to regularly take a pine bath by infusing needles, cones and twigs of pine in 2 quarts of chilled water and after keeping it for 15 minutes, this should be boiled for 30 minutes.

After cooling for ten hours, it is ready to be mixed in tub for bath. Inhaling steam of pine diluted with essential oils paces up the healing process of mucous membrane. To prepare a pine steamer, twenty to thirty drops of essential pine oil should be blended in 2 cups of hot water. Inhaling steam of this hot water aids in rejuvenation of respiratory tract muscles.
