Natural Cures for Glaucoma

A condition of eye arising due to elevated intraocular pressure in eye ball is known as glaucoma. The main causative factors that contribute towards development of glaucoma are increased eye strain.

Increased level of toxins in body, inadequate dietary habits, protracted usage of suppressive medicines, adrenal exhaustion, sinus, diabetes, arteriosclerosis, deficiency of oldosterone, and accretion of fluids in tissues.

The symptoms of glaucoma comprises of unremitting pain surrounding eyebrow reasons, impaired vision and blurred vision at night. If not treated, glaucoma eventually leads to complete vision loss. By following these given below natural cures, it is possible for an individual suffering from early symptoms of glaucoma to gain relief with in span of few days.

Diet – A person suffering from early symptoms of glaucoma should increase intake of foods rich in vitamin A, B-complex, C protein, calcium and added minerals.

A diet plan comprising fresh citrus fruits, green vegetables, nuts, seeds, cottage cheese, buttermilk, butter, olive oil should be followed to gain desired results with in ten to twelve days. Consumption of fresh lemon juice several times during a day is also a great method to get rid of harmful toxins from body.

Workout for Eyes – It is recommended to perform light eye exercises for the relaxation of tensed eye muscles. These exercises should be performed two to three times a day. Meditation is also one of the greatest remedies to sooth tensed muscles.

Kew Tree – Regular consumption of one cup of herbal tea prepared with kew tree herb during glaucoma assists in reducing irritation and stress levels of eye. This herbal tea should be consumed three times a day to boost supply of oxygen to eyeballs which further helps in defusing the free radicals. Along with defusing free radicals, it also detoxifies the eyeballs for speedy restoration of vision.

Avoid – As per the opthamologists, a person experiencing early symptoms of glaucoma should avoid consumption of caffeinated products, alcohol and sodium rich foods. Smoking, working on computer, watching television and intense workouts or any other activities that are known to increase blood pressure should also be avoided.

It is advisable to confine the excessive intake of liquids during the duration of ailment.  However, in case of persistent symptoms an individual should immediately contact an accredited opthamologist for advanced treatment as later stages of this disease can result in total vision failure.
