Natural Ways To Get Relief In Influenza

Inflammation of upper respiratory tract along with nose, throat and lungs is known as influenza. Owing to the advanced researches, influenza is classified under categories of highly contagious diseases.

The major causes for influenza are inadequate dietary habits, accumulation of toxins in body and contact with an infected person.

Symptoms of influenza comprises of severe body ache, restlessness, nausea, high fever and whooping cough. Below given are some remedies that have been recommended by the health experts, since conventional times as most effectual remedies in treating influenza naturally.

Juice Fasting – Juice fasting is an effectual and efficient technique in detoxifying the body from harmful toxins and substances. Fresh extract of citrus fruits and veggies must be given to patient after diluting with water in equivalent proportions several times a day for at least four to five days or until the body temperature becomes normal. Along with juice fasting, an all-fruit diet can also be opted to gain early recovery.

Herbal Tea – Consumption of herbal tea prepared with anise herb excites the discharge of accumulated mucus from lungs and throat. Similarly, consuming teas prepared with catnip herb two to three times a day alleviate soaring fever and strengthens the digestive tract of patient. Fresh extract of cayenne herb diluted with orange juice in equivalent proportion should be consumed to get relief from congestion in respiratory tract.

Garlic – Consuming one or two raw garlic cloves during a day assists in suppression of influenza virus and also boosts body’s internal defense system to fight with infections.

Curcuma Longa – One teaspoon of curcuma longa powder blended in a glass of hot milk should be consumed for a minimum of three times during a day to strengthen the damaged liver and prevent further damages to upper respiratory tract. This blend should be given to patient for at least 5 days to gain desired results.

Avoid – A person suffering with influenza should avoid direct contact with other persons due to the contagious nature of disease. It is recommended to keep a hand towel handy in case symptoms of nausea or cough arises. Consumption of spicy and unhealthy foods should also be discouraged to prevent further harm.
