Pampering the Skin

November 6, 2008

It is cumbersome to find the right products that match your skin. Often the skin starts to reject products and has reactions. We all want the convenience of hassle free skin without having to rummage through a range of skin care products before arriving at the right one. The safest alternatives come from household products. These are chemical free, effective, and do not give you the risk of skin allergies.

Tomato juice makes for an excellent skin toner and whitener for the skin. Take about two teaspoons of tomato juice and apply on the skin. Wipe the face well after it has soaked in and wash off later.

Take some fenugreek seeds and warm them. Make a coarse paste of this and mix with curd. This makes a good exfoliating wash for the face that is packed with properties. The fenugreek exfoliates, while the curd bleaches and softens the skin. This can also be used in the hair and rinsed out to care for it better.

Honey is a good moisturiser for the face. Take some honey and apply well on the face. Leave on for about twenty minutes and wash off with lukewarm water afterwards. The only caution is to ensure that the honey does not touch the hair as it has the abitlity to bleach it.

Ice cubes make for a great refresher. Take some ice cubes and rub on the face daily for about five minutes. This will hydrate and refresh the skin, and also keep it looking younger by keepin wrinkles away.

Milk is very good for rough skin. Apply milk on the face and keep it on for about half an hour. Wash off after it has soaked. You will feel instant softness on the skin.

Nature is made to help cure all evils of man. Understanding its true value is the only hinderance.
