Perfect Make Up For Fair Skin

January 28, 2009

We find a lot of tips handed around to help dress up for occasions. Make up that is appropriate for weddings, parties and evenings are all easliy available. How does one choose and use make up on a daily basis to help look good, without looking like you have tried too hard?

The key to using make up is not just determining where you are going. Your skin tone is the single, most important factor that decides the kind of make up you should use. Here are simple thumb rules while using make up for those with fair skin.

Make sure you use foundation thats matches your skin colour. Use a combination of the foundation stick and lose face powder to cover up any bemishes or uneven skin tones.

The best colours for your cheeks are pale pink and shades of apricot. Avoid using very dark, or brown tones on the cheeks as they often give the appearance of the face looking dirty.

Cool tones are great for the eyes. These could include light greys, navy, cooler browns and shell. Compliment this with clear, black mascara to make the eyes stand out better, and also set off the colours you have chosen for your eyes.

The lips are best dressed using soft, pastel tones.

Once you know how, getting dressed is more fun than you think. Let yourself loose, and unleash the beauty within.

The key to dressing up fair skin is to make it look understated. Since fair skin can show things off most, you must be a little subtle in the make up you use.

Avoid too many coats or shades on the face, as they can make it look very dressy. Keep it plain and simple. Use colours that blend in with the skin, or they can stand out very easily, especially on lighter skin.
