Constipation, which causes toxin build up in the body, could stimulate acne breakouts. You should always prevent dehydration. You should drink about 8 glasses of water everyday. Water keeps your skin hydrated and prevents acne.
Foods that trigger acne
Caffeine found in coffee and chocolates might trigger acne. Caffeine also dehydrates the body. To prevent acne and to have healthy skin you should stay away from junk foods. The junk foods add excess calories to your body, while depriving your body of essential nutrients. Refined carbohydrate, sugary foods and saturated fats could trigger acne.
Fruit juices are loaded with sugar. If you are suffering from acne problems, you should limit intake of fruit juices. Instead of fruit juices, you should increase consumption of whole fruits. The fibers present in whole fruits help to counter the bad effects of excess sugar. Sometimes chemicals found in artificial sweeteners could cause allergies.
To prevent acne, it is advisable to stay away from artificial sweeteners. Excess consumption of animal protein might encourage acne. Animal protein increases the acid content of the body. Bacteria that cause acne thrive in acidic condition. Sometimes intake of milk and dairy products could trigger acne.
Excess milk intake could stimulate sebum production. People suffering from acne should not drink more than one glass of milk per day. People suffering from gluten allergy might get acne after consumption of wheat, barley and rye. Vinegar can also trigger acne. However, apple cider vinegar is effective in curing acne. If you are prone to acne, you should stay away from alcoholic drinks.
