The digestive process is perhaps the most complex process in the body. It involves co-ordination of a number of organs and functions. A slight malfunction in any of these could spell disarray in the body. A sluggish internal system could mean days of anxiety, and a range of medicines for relief. Simple remedies could be a useful alternative to undue medication.
Stomach worms can be destroyed easily using coconut. Eat the pulp of the coconut, and drink coconut water along with one teaspoon of olive oil for 3 days for best results.
Almonds help in curing chronic constipation. Eat a few blanched almonds everyday to keep bowel movements smooth always.
Eating tomatoes every morning prevents the formation of stones in the kidney. It helps wash away toxins and keeps the kidneys stimulated.
Colic and flatulence find good cures using cumin. Take one teaspoon of cumin seeds and add one liter of water. Boil for a while. Drink this water at regular intervals to cure intestinal colic.
Take one teaspoon of olive oil and mix with a teaspoon of garlic juice. Mix in a glass of warm water and drink. This helps eliminate bacteria and cure infections in the bladder.
Nausea can be cured using lemon juice. Mix two cupfuls of lemon juice with a glass of warm water and drink. This not only cures the nausea, but also breaks the acids in the stomach.
