Quick Fixes For Coughs
A cough is a real irritant. It takes a toll on the way you feel, and can be extremely exhausting. Add to it disturbances in sleep, and this is something you want to stay away from for life.
The way people normally get a cough under control is by using some form of medication, either in the form of a syrup or some tablets. These are not only full of side effects, but also make you very drowsy and worse for wear.
Simple home remedies are very effective in curing coughs, and also in providing immediate relief, and ensuring sound sleep.
A glass of grape juice with a little honey mixed into it is useful in curing a simple cough quickly. Grapes help in toning the lungs, and are good natural expectorants.
Blanche a couple of almonds, and then grind them well to make a fine paste. To this, add equal quantities of butter and sugar, and mix all three very well. This should be had every morning and evening to help rid you of your cough. This is a specially effective cure for dry coughs.
Onion juice should be extracted after chopping onions finely. Mix equal amounts of onion juice and honey, and let the mixture sit for at least five to six hours.
This, taken twice every day will help cure coughs, and is good for removing phlegm as well. Onion juice mixed with lime juice and diluted in warm water with a little honey is another good remedy for coughs.
Honey has the natural abillity to cure coughs well. Taken either in combination with other ingredients, or just had by itself in a couple of drops, honey can help soothe the throat well and lubricate it. It also helps in fighting sinuses.
