Some times there may be a cluster of pinhead sized sores that in turn may unite together and form an irregular shaped large lesion.

The sores will have a white or yellow center encircled by red inflated areas. These sores may last for weeks and cause pain and discomfort. Even there may be difficulty in swallowing food. This can be heredity or due to autoimmune disorder. Deficiency of certain minerals and vitamins like folic acid, vitamin B2, iron etc may also cause this disorder.
