Remedy for Minor Burn
Burns are classified as first degree, second degree and third degree burns. First degree burns and to a certain extent second degree burns, which effect a small part of our body are known as minor burns.
Minor burns are also termed as partial thickness burn injury. The burn injury in this case does not extend throughout the dermis.
Minor burns injuries are least complicated. Since the dermis is not damaged by the heat, minor burns heal rapidly. The new skin grows easily from dermis. Home remedies are safe for healing minor burns.
Minor burn remedy
As soon as you burn your hand or feet, immediately put the burnt area under running water. The water should be slightly cool. However, avoid applying ice over the burnt area. As soon as your apply ice your pain will cease. However, once you remove the ice, your pain will worsen.
Applying aloe vera on the burn injury can reduce the pain. You can also mix lavender oil with aloe vera to cure the burn injury. You can also apply butter, yogurt or milk on the burnt area to alleviate your pain. Applying potato or onion juice on the burn injury can help to cure the pain.
Vanilla extract or egg white can also be used for treating minor burns. Plantain is extremely useful in curing burn injuries. Slice plantains without removing the skin. Now fry the plantain slices in any vegetable oil until they become black. Remove the plantain slices from the oil and allow the oil to cool. Now apply this oil on your burn to reduce the pain.

After your burn heals, it might leave scar behind. Sometimes burn scars fade naturally. However, often we need some extra care to remove the burn scars. To prevent scarring, consume adequate amount of vitamin E. Also, increase your vitamin C intake. Vitamin C is required for the development of collagen.
