Sandalwood Miraculous Skin Care Product

Sandalwood is used in the form of powder or oil for many different products including aromatics like perfumes and incense. It is an ancient Indian Ayurvedic medication for several skin complaints and conditions. Sandalwood ‘s antimicrobial properties makes it a popular herbal antiseptic .

Both internal as well as external use of Sandalwood has an important role in dealing with skin problems. Internally its powder is recommended with milk. Ready made pills prepared out of sandalwood powder are also available in the market.

A different mode of administering the remedy is through water. For cooling results sandalwood piece kept in water overnight can be used. Its oil extract is also used as medicine.

Sandalwood paste is a renowned household cure for skin problems. For acne, prickly heat, insect bites, dermatitis/ eczema, Allergic condition, minor burns and scalds, sandalwood paste is the best solution. Inflamed and irritated skin gets healed very quickly on use of sandalwood paste.

It also serves as an effectual deodorant to people who sweat excessively .It is a treatment of preference in ecthyosis ,a. dry skin condition, keratoderma- dry skin condition of palms and soles,  psoriasis – non infectious inflammatory skin disease .

A paste of 1 teaspoon of sandalwood powder with 1 teaspoon of turmeric with one teaspoon of water is the best cure for pimples, this paste should be applied before bed as a nighttime treatment.

A paste of 1 teaspoon each of sandalwood powder and turmeric mixed with water or milk soothes the burning scratchy inflammation of an insect bite.
It is also used for relief from headaches. Its paste applied on temple helps in relieving headaches.In common sandalwood is a cooling agent.

It’s effective in cases of genitourinary troubles too. Since it adds to brilliance and radiance of the skin, it is  therefore an essential part of skin care.
