Saving Our Skin
We all encounter skin problems at some stage. Problem free skin is really non-existant. Even the most flawless skin is faced with emergency calls like a zit, break-out or a rash at some time. Even the most careful precautions exercised fail us once in a while.
Acne is a condition faced commonly. They are caused mostly by dirt that clogs the skin pores and does not allow them to breathe freely. Dead skin that remains on the surface also causes acne. Proper exfoliation regularly is a must. Keep the skin clean at all times. Wash the face often. Do not use cleansers on the face more than twice a day as the moisture is stripped off. Insetad, douse the face with plenty of cold water that will help clean better and also refresh. Suntans might temporarily ease acne, but cause it to resurface, Do not resort to them as a permanent cure.
Do not worry unduly while applying make up. While the use of heavy creams may inhibit complete functioning of the skin, they do not block the pores entirely. What should really be a worry is that make up is removed entirely and the cleansing process is acrried out correctly. After getting rid of all make-up, care for the skin well by washing thoroughly and moisturising it well.
Soap is the worst enemy for the skin. Most soaps available today are highly alkaline and react with natural acids that are secreted by the skin to protect it. As a result, the skin tends to be more prone to germs, bacteria and infections. The best remedy for skin is the use of a mild, good quality cleanser that cleans and protects simultaneously.
While people believe that the use of one product over time is not good for the skin, it might be a more sensible option. While new products may cause reactions, the use of one product that works consistently on the skin may be wiser. Find what suits you best, and stick to it. Most skin care is based on instinct, A little trial and error will help you find what is best for your skin. The rest follows easily.
