It is very important to eat the right foods. We need to know what kind of nutrients the food we eat contains to be able to select foods that make a balanced meal. More important then, is to know what goods different foods do. This will help care for most deficiencies better, and also cure ailments.

Vitamin A is vital for vision and repair of tissues and bones. It also helps strengthen bones and teeth.

Vitamin C helps heal wounds and boost the immune system. It also stregthens the blood vessels.

Calcium helps keep the bones and muscle tissues healthy. it regulates the heartbeat.

Iron is required for the red blood cells, and also increase resistence to diseases.

Vitamin D helps absorb calcium for bone and teeth formation.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant in the cells and tissues. It also protects red blood cells.

Vitamin K builds up protein used in the clotting of the blood.

Vitamin B6 metabolizes carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It is also useful in the formation of antibodies.

Iodine is a component of the thyroid and controls energy metabolism.

Folate is important in the formation of red blood cells and for the functioning of the brain and nervous system.

Vitamin B12 is essential for cells to make DNA. It is also used in the metabolism of proteins and fats.

Vitamin B helps in bone structure formation and mineral metabolism.

Zinc aids digestion and is key in the formation of DNA and RNA.
