Traditional home remedies have always been referred to as “grandma remedies”. Often, these remedies are even more effective and valuable for staying healthy, than the chemical based medicines available in the market. Here are few recipes from the grandma’s diary for a healthy living:

For skin irritations

Make a mixture of half a lemon and sandalwood powder. Apply it on the affected area. Use it for a week for effective results.

Throat pain, tooth ache,wash your mouth with salt mixed luke warm water regularly.

For Stomach upset, Grind few tender mangoes into a paste and intake it with a glass of buttermilk.

For concentration,  a mixture of brahmi leaf juice and honey helps in increasing the memory power.

A glass of milk with almond paste helps in improving the mental strength of children.

Regular intake of few drops of honey helps in controlling heart diseases and prevents common Heart ailments.

Apply a mixture of freshly ground mint leaves directly on your forehead relieves Headache.

For good Sleep, Make it a habit to have a tumbler of warm milk at bed time.

A few drops of lemon juice into the water to be used for bathing, and experience a refreshing bath, removing fatigue.

Hair loss can be dealt by,application of aloe vera juice directly on the hair roots and shafts helps in reducing hair fall .It is a remedy to most of the hair related problems.

Ordinary Infections can be cured by,applying turmeric paste on wounds and infections helps in quick recovery from the same.

Drink a glass of warm milk boiled with a pinch of turmeric powder to scare off fever.

Apply a mask made of cabbage juice, yeast and honey. Keep it on your face for 20 minutes, and then wash off with cold water gives a wrinkle free face.
