Bloating might also occur from food allergens. Certain diseases, such as colon cancer, Crohn’s disease and hernias that cause inflammation in the stomach could be responsible for abdominal bloating. Abdominal bloating is a common symptom of irritable bowel syndrome. Abdominal bloating can also occur from premenstrual tension.
Birth pills are known to cause bloating. Excess salt in the diet can cause water retention and abdominal bloating. If your body becomes dehydrated, you can experience abdominal bloating. Drinking less water often leads to abdominal bloating. Protein deficiency could also cause the uncomfortable condition.
Abdominal bloating remedies
Abdominal bloating could be treating through adjustments in the diet. If you are prone to bloating, divide your large meals into four to five smaller meals. This eases the digestion process. You should drink at least eight glasses of water throughout the day.
If you are allergic to certain foods or if you suffer from certain food intolerance, to prevent bloating, stay away from these foods. Avoid caffeine and carbonated drinks. Limit intake of salty and fatty foods. Certain herbal tea could heal problems of abdominal bloating.
Consumption of fennel tea, ginger tea or peppermint tea could provide relief from bloating. To prevent bloating you should have probiotic foods such as yogurt and kefir. One teaspoon of cinnamon powder mixed with ½ teaspoon of honey could help to cure bloating.
