Simple Solutions For Cracked Heels
No matter how much care you take to make sure your clothes and shoes are all put together carefully, one look at unkept, cracked heels can be a major turn off. When you have a life that involves lots of walking, or even greater use of the feet, craks tend to form more easily. Winters are also times that invite cracked heels. Simple home remedies can help cure cracked heels and make them softer and more supple.
Bananas can help soften the skin and cure cracked heels. Rub the pulp of a banana on the affected areas of the heel and leave on for about fifteen minutes before wiping it clean. Make sure the banana you use is extremely ripe. Overly ripe bananas can also prove effective.
Take some lime juice and dilute slightly. Soak the feet in this liquid for about fifteen minutes. This treatment should be followed at least once a week. Not only will cracked heels be cured, but pigmentation and tanning caused by exposure of the feet to excess sunlight can also be reversed.
At the end of your day, soak the feet in warm water which has a little soap added to it. After this, rub a mixture of lime and vaseline on the feet and massage the feet well. Gently remove any excess with tissue and leave on overnight.
Wash the feet well, and then apply some vegetable oil on the cracked areas. Leave on for at least half an hour before you take a bath. Make sure you do not use any soap on the feet.
Coconut oil is the best remedy. When you sense any area of the feet getting coarse or dry, use some coconut oil on the feet and massage well. Cover the feet with socks and leave on overnight. Not only does this ensure a cure for cracked heels, but also excessively dry skin gets restored too.
