Skin Care Tips Using Bananas
Many people cringe at the sight of bananas. They fear the unnecessary calories they might be piling on. It is common to have them run right past the fruit while at the supermarket. While consuming bananas may lead to putting on a lot of calories, bananas can be put to good use in taking care of the body. Topical application of bananas can help care for the body and make quick remedies.
If you have areas of your body that appear cracked, dry and dull, try using a banana on them. This is useful for cracked and dry elbows and knees, and also the feet. Mix banana with a little honey, and a little gram flour with the beaten banana. After applying a thick coat of this mixture to the affected areas, leave it on for half an hour, or till the mixture has dried up totally. Wash it off using lukewarm water. This will help make the skin softer and responsive.
Bananas can also rescue the hair. It can help give more shine and moisture to dry hair. Mix a banana, an egg, a little honey, milk and some water. Apply this to the hair evenly spreading to all parts carefully. Cover the hair with a warm towel for half an hour and wash out thoroughly. You will notice that the hair gets lustrous and shiny instantly. Bounce is also restored to the hair.
Mix a little banana with some milk and cream and use as a moisturiser on the skin. This helps moisten the skin and also makes it extremely soft. This is a good method to keep your skin softer when applied at night. Use warm water to wash the face afterwards.
There is no reason not to stock up on bananas even if you are trying to lose weight. Use bananas and keep the body healthy, all without gaining an inch.
