Curds are considerd among the best aids to natural good looks. It supplies the nerves and skin a range of healthy ingredients which help to counteract all the ill effects of undue exposure to the sun and pollutants.
Bacteria in curd makes the skin softer and glowing.

Mixed with the juice of one lemon, it makes a good cleanser. While the curd supplies moisture to the skin, the fruit gives the skin important Vitamin C content. Take one teaspoon of the juice and mix into one cup of curd. Apply well on the face and neck region. Allow it to dry well for about fifteen minutes. Wipe off with a soft tissue and then wash with water.

Make a mixture of oatmeal flour and fresh yogurt. This is effective in sofetning the skin. This mixture should be kept on for fifteen minutes and washed with lukewarm water.

For pimpled skin, make a paste of bengal gram flour and curd. This should be applied generously to the face and washed daily.

Curd can also prove valuable in conditioning the hair. It makes the hair soft, healthy and strong. It should be massaged well into the roots before being washed out.

Dandruff can be cured by massaging the scalp for half an hour with curd which has been left in the open for three days.

Curd is not only great to taste and eat. It is also a wonderful remedy for the skin and hair. Use yogurt to maximise its potential and benefit manifold.
