Some Easy Hemorrhoid Remedies

June 24, 2009

As laypersons, we consider hemorrhoids as abnormal developments in the anal canals. However, your physician will tell you that hemorrhoids are present in every person. Only when these tissues and blood vessels present in the hemorrhoidal cushions become abnormally large, do we suffer from pains and discomfort. Hemorrhoids are extremely painful conditions.

Causes of hemorrhoids

There are two types of hemorrhoids – external hemorrhoids and internal hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoid formed at the top of the anal canal is known as internal hemorrhoid. External hemorrhoid develops at the lower end of the anal canal. Hemorrhoid problem is largely prevalent among people between 45 and 65 years of age. Low fiber intake and chronic constipations are primarily responsible for development of hemorrhoids. Women often suffer from hemorrhoids during pregnancy. Pelvic tumors can also be responsible for hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoid natural remedies

Fruits and vegetables are rich sources of dietary fibers. To prevent as well as cure piles and hemorrhoids, include adequate amounts of vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. Drink at least eight to ten glasses of water every day. Limit salt intake. Excess salt can worsen the state of your hemorrhoid.

To ease bowel movement, lubricate your anus with a cream. Over the counter creams are available for curing hemorrhoids. Applying petroleum jelly in the anus can also produce the same result.

To prevent constipation, add one teaspoon of psyllium seeds to a glass of water, and take this drink two to three times every day.

Make a mixture by blending a teaspoon each of ginger juice, mint juice and limejuice and one tablespoon of honey. Consume this mixture regularly in the morning to cure hemorrhoids.

Prepare a drink by mixing three tablespoons of bitter gourd juice in a glass of buttermilk. Take this drink every day before breakfast to cure hemorrhoids.

Add a teaspoon of honey to about 100grams of grated white radish and take in twice everyday, in the morning and before going to bed, to cure your piles problem. Radish is a rich source of dietary fibers and should be consumed frequently by hemorrhoid sufferers.
