Summer Special: Home Made Face Masks
Very like our mind and soul our body requires special care. In day today lives our skin is immeasurably exposed to outside environment, harmful radiations, sun rays, dust and much more. So, the sensitive body cells and tissues get affected and die.
This process eventually leads to ageing, wrinkles, tanning and pigmentation. Therefore regular removal of dead cells is important for regeneration of cells and rejuvenation of our skin. Especially in summer your skin needs exfoliation of dead particles so you can show off your new found skin in a carefree avatar.
Most women fear that chemicals in face creams and masks will harm their skins even further.But in our summer special edition we’ll share with you 8 home made chemical free face masks which are easy to use and leave a glowing after effect on your skin.
1. Cool cucumber mask
Ingredients:
Cucumber 3/4
Oatmeal 1Cup
Yogurt 2 tsp
Method
Take finely grinded cucumber and one cup of oatmeal; mix them together to form a paste. Add 2 teaspoon of yogurt. Apply this mixture for 20 mins and rinse off with cold water.
2. Turmeric pack
Ingredients
Turmeric pd 2 tsp
Gram Flour ½ Cup
Olive oil 2 tsp
Rose Water 1 tsp
Method
Turmeric is a natural antiseptic, thus helps in healing acne and reducing spots. Mix half cup gram floor, 2 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tsp olive oil and rose water. Apply on affected areas, leave for 15 mins. Rub gently with both hands and rinse off.
3. Honey-Lemon face pack
Ingredients
Honey ¼ Cup
Lemon 2 tsp
Method
Clean your face with Luke warm water. Apply mixture of honey and Lime juice for half an hour and rinse off with cold water. Repeat this 3 times a week for beautiful and soft skin.
4. Summer face pack for Oily skin
Ingredients
Beer 1 tsp
Yogurt 3 tsp
Method
Apply the beer- yogurt paste on your face and neck equally. Let it dry for 15 mins. Rinse with warm water to remove oil and dirt, then wash with cold water to close pores.
5. Summer face pack for Dry skin
Ingredients
Butter 1 tsp
Water 1 tsp
Method
Mix water and butter and form a paste. Apply it thickly on dry patches on your face. Leave the paste for 20 mins and wipe off with wet puffs.
6. Banana Wonder pack for skin tightening
Ingredients
Banana 1/4
Method
Mash Banana until it becomes smooth and creamy and apply on face. Let it dry for 15 mins. Rinse alternatively with Luke warm and cold water to refresh and tighten your skin.
7. Avocado Facial Glow Mask
Ingredients
Avocado 1
Water ½ cup
Method
Crush down Avocado meat into a smooth pulp. Apply it evenly on your face and neck region. Let it dry for 15-20 mins. Apply the second layer, leave it for 8 mins. Rub your face gently and rinse off.
8. Clay Masks to hydrate the skin
Ingredients
Gypsum ¼ cup
Water 3-4 tsp
Method
Make liquid mixture of gypsum and water. Apply the first layer and let it dry, Apply the second layer. Once the mask dries up, cover the face with cotton dipped in ice cold water. Leave it for 10 mins and wash your face. Interestingly this pack can be applied to hair also to give it a cooling and silky effect.
Always remember summer effects can only be avoided with a fully hydrated skin. Drink lots of water and do not go out in sun without applying Sun block with at least SPF 15.So keep glowing this summer with a nourished look.
