Symptoms Of Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is found to be one among the most common malignancies of women. Breast cancer develops as a single cell with in the breast tissues and then it may proliferate extensively.
It is an uncontrolled multiplication of cells later on it may spread to other parts of the body also. The modern lifestyle and environmental factors contribute to the breast cancer and the no of patients suffering from breast cancer is increasing year after year.
Symptoms of Breast Cancer
Breast cancer in its initial stage won’t produce any symptoms and this makes the detection of cancer difficult in early stage. Regular self check ups of the breast and mammograms will help you to diagnosed breast cancer in its starting itself.
Breast Pain
Certain patients may experience a pain with in the breast which will settle down after sometime. After sometime the pain may reappear and disappear.
Lump Formation
Lumps are the most common symptoms that develop in breast cancer patients and you can feel it with in the breast or in the armpit or anywhere in between the breast and the armpit. Lumps are glandular fibrous tissues or it can be fluid filled sacs that make the area hardened. The appearance of lumps may also change the shape of the breast. Inspite of the lumps you may also feel ridges or even pits on your breast and a resulted shape difference.
Dimpled Breast Skin
If it is an inflammatory breast cancer then it may not develop lumps instead it may develop like sheets. It will also infest the skin and the skin looks like an orange peel. It may also give rise to rashes on the breast skin and the breast looks red colored. The breast becomes hard and inflamed and it may also develop warmness on the breast.
Difference in Size
Development of breast cancer may cause an increase in the size of the breast. If this difference of size persists even after your menstrual cycle then you need to consult a doctor.
Difference in Nipple
In certain cases the nipple may change its shape and may retract. Sometimes it may turn side ways or down also. While in certain other cases a discharge will come out of the nipple if you squeeze it. The discharge may be clear or contaminated with blood stain.
Itching of the Breast
Sometimes an itching may develop on your breast or on nipple and it won’t vanish with the application of topical creams.
