The Beauty Bath
Everyone knows the largest part of the body is made up of water. Its importance in our lives cannot be ignored. Even as far as the skin is concerned, water is the solution to most skin ailments.
Having a bath is the best way to soothe and relax the body. It helps clean and clear out the skin, and also refreshes best. Different ways to better your bath can actually help improve the quality and tone of the skin.
Tap water is the most common used for a bath. It can be good or bad for the skin depending on the type of skin you have, and also on the hardness or softness of the water. Hard water is not suitable for those with dry skin, since the salts in the water cause it to dry further. It is advisable to use bath salts and softeners to negate the effects of hard water in these cases.
Milk is great for the skin. Addign a tablespoon of powdered milk to your bath helps soften the face well. You can also use this while washing the face or neck after a long day, or even after the application of make up.
Rainwater is most beneficial for the skin since the water is soft. Step out in the rain at least once and envigorate the skin greatly.
Honey is another good additive to the bath. Adding a little honey to bath water helps make the skin softer and also lightens the skin well.
Adding a little oatmeal to the bath helps in clearing the skin and exfoliating as well. Espcially in areas like the neck, buttocks and fold of the skin, the oatmeal clears out better.
Herbal bath is very good for skin. Adding some herbs to the bath help in relaxing the body well. Use them in combination with a few drops of aroma oil to soothe the body and help calm the senses after a long day.Whatever the method you choose, it is best to avoid having a bath for at least two hours after eating a heavy meal. This is not good for either the body or the skin.
