The Greatness of Fatty Acids
Fatty acids and Omega3 are much talked about today. In the benefit that they do in boosting the body’s immunity, and also keeping away the risk of many health ailments, they are among the most popularly sought after nutrients. And with all the attention to health foods today, they really are in the limelight.
Omega3 fatty acids are found most in fish and sea foods. These are the highest, most potent containers of omega3 acids. While it was opined earlier that vegetarians could suffer a deficiency of this nutrient, there ave been found other food types that also contain omega3.
These include nuts. They are very good in the functioning of the heart, and also benefit memory. They help protect the kidneys from damage and preserve their health longer.
Along with omega3, there are other fatty acids that also do a great deal of good for the body, and specially the heart.
Recent research has been shown to indicate that a moderate level of wine can be instrumental in increasing the blood levels of the fatty acids. This can be greatly beneficial to the body. Compounds in wine that have found to be antioxidant in nature are what are suspected to cause this effect.
What is, however, being strongly emphasised is that the amount consumed must be either mild or very moderate. Additionally, it has also been stated that these effects are not to be found in people under a certain age.
The next time you put together a meal, spare some thought. Choose your foods with some care. It’s not only about giving in to your taste buds, but also giving your body its much needed protection and care.
And you don’t need to grieve excessively when you reach out for the occasional glass of wine. There is a chance you might be doing your body some good after all! Cheers!
