Papayas are commonly found fruit across the world. They have a taste that finds them great appeal everywhere. The tress produce fruit extremely generously. The biggest advantage of the papaya is that it grows rapidly and starts to yield fruit within a year of being sown.

Papayas are full of goodness. The pulp of the fruit is rich in calcium, vitamin A and also vitamin C, which helps in healing collagen.

Papayas are great for the skin. They help give it a good glow, and also keep it looking youthful. Papayas help protect the skin from the sun and ultraviolet rays, making it a natural sunscreen. The fruit and its peel can be applied and rubbed on the face to help nourish the skin and keep it softer.

Papayas help lighten the skin and cure freckles. They also help in keeping the nails and hair healthier and better looking. Those who consume papayas often can see their eyes looking brighter and radiant. The large benefits that are derived from the use of papayas make it a great product in the cosmetic industry, whether it be as a cleanser, or even for face packs.

Great in helping digestion of food, papayas calm and cool the digestive tract. They can also help in curing flatulence. When consumed regularly, you can easily feel the body feeling lighter and cleansed in a short time.

Papain, the enzyme found in the papaya is known to heal cancer. It helps by eating away the materials that surround cancerous tumours. Papayas that are half ripe are the best in curing this ailment, since the enzyme content is higher and the sugar content is lower.

Papayas are very useful in reducing the risk of heart related ailments, and also strokes and arteriosclerosis. It helps in lowering the concentration of fats and cholesterol in the blood stream.

The greatness of the papaya is that it retains all its qualities, regardless of whether it is consumed as a fruit, or in jucie form.
