Turmeric is a refreshing addition to food. It gives out the most pleasant colour, and the aroma makes the food more appealing. Turmeric can also help in numerous ways due to its medicinal properites.

Turmeric is best used in the powder form. It is common as a spicy, warming food.

Generally known to be a restorative food, turmeric has numerous other properties that make it medicinally potent. It is an anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and also has characteristics that are anti microbial.

Curcumin, a flavanoid in the turmeric is known to be at par with many steroids like cortisone. This makes it an anti-cancer treatment.

Turmeric helps the skin as well. It softens the skin greatly and also gives it a wonderful glow. It makes the skin more supple. The skin can also be cured of a number of problems like pimples and acne because of the remedial powers of turmeric.

Turmeric helps purify the blood. It stimulates the liver, increases the formation of red blood cells and causes wounds to heal faster. It makes for a great rejuvinating agent for the body.

Turmeric can be added as a seasoning to all foods to help incorporate into the diet. It has a pleasant colour and flavour which make it blend with all foods well.

Turmeric can also be used as a juice. Fresh turmeric can be extracted and diluted to make a drink that must be had on a daily basis.

Tumeric oils can also be prepared by mixing turmeric with regular oil and setting aside for a few days. This oil is also known to be beneficial and can be consumed or applied topically for best results.

Turmeric mixed with honey are useful in curing all internal wounds, and especially sore throats. While the turmeric heals, the honey soothes instantly making it doubly useful.
