Use Of Oils in Curing Skin Problems

All of us know the demerits of consuming too much oil, and try and minimize its intake as far as possible. There are many oils that we do not use commonly, and some that we do not even know of. There are a number of essential oils that can be both consumed, or used topically to help in the cure of many ailments and conditions of the skin.

Avocado oil is rich in vitamins. It can help soothe sensitive skin, and can help in the cure of bacterial infections.

Black pepper oil can help in the treatment of inflammations and wounds. It also has cosmetic application.

Carrot oil has depurative, cleansing and draining properties. It can help make cures for wrinkles, acne, dermatitis and irritation.

Geranium oil with its properties is refreshing, anti-irritant, a mild tonic and astringent. The oil can be used in both cosmetics and perfumery.

Jasmine oil has soothing, moisurising and healing peoperties. It is good for skin with dermatitis, and is a good oil used on dry and sensitive skin.

Juniper oil is extremely good as a cleanser and toner for the skin. It can help treat eczema and dermatitis. It is antiseptic and astringent.

Meadowfoam oil is a rich emolliment. Its ability to pentrate in to the skin and get absrobed quickly gives it a distict advantage in use for cosmetics. It has strong analgesic properties, and aids in anti-inflammatory activity.

Neroli oil is a strong fragrant. It helps stimulate cell generation. Its sedative and soothing effect makes it an excellent choice for all skin types.

Patchouli oil is used to fight acne, ageing skin and chapped skin. It has a strong, musty, powerful fragrance. It is a good tonic and sedative.

Sandalwood oil is one of the best types used for cosmetics and skin. It has anti-inflammatory properites, and is a good tonic and stimulant. When used in high concentration, however, it is known to produce rashes on sensitive skin.

Sesame oil is great in cutting out UV rays, and finds good use as sunscreen.
