Wisdom teeth are the third molars that appear as the back teeth in lower jaw and upper jaw. Normally there are four wisdom teeth and they come out between an age of 17 years to 26 years. Wisdom teeth may appear only in some people and are absent in others. Wisdom teeth may take almost five to ten years from the appearance of the first tooth to the last one to come out completely. In certain people it may come out easily with out causing any trouble while in others it may get stuck and may result in pain, swelling, infection, cavities in the gum etc. This can be due to smaller jaws that do not contain enough space for the wisdom tooth to grow properly. Here are some cures that may help you to ease the difficulties of wisdom tooth pain.

Remedies for Wisdom Tooth Pain

Garlic

Take a clove of garlic and crush it along with a pinch rock salt and keep it on the affected teeth. This may help you to relive the pain. If you can chew a clove of garlic along with a pinch of rock salt daily then it may impair you from developing any tooth decaying bacteria inside your mouth. It also helps you to ward off the bacteria from the infected teeth and gives you relief from the pain.

Ice Pack

Apply an ice pack on the outer part of the wisdom tooth on the cheek. Keep the ice pack for 20 minutes and keep it again after 20 minutes. This may help you to relive the pain.

Clove Oil

Add a few drops of clove oil to ΒΌ teaspoon of olive oil and mix well. Dip cotton in this mixture and keep it on the affected area. This may help you to ease the pain. You can also keep a crushed clove on the afflicted tooth.

Raw Onion

If you can chew raw onion for about minutes then it will be sufficient to kill all the harmful germs that are present in your mouth.

Wheat Grass

The juice taken from wheat grass is considered as an ideal mouth wash. It may help you to prevent tooth pains and tooth decay. It may also help you to prevent bacterial growth and removes toxins with in the gum.

When your wisdom tooth begin to grow take extra care and avoid the food particles from getting trapped between the out coming tooth and gum. This prevention may help to avoid the infection and the related pain.
