In order to control blood pressure, include a lot of vegetables of varied colours in the diet and reduce the use of saturated fats. Vitamin C gives resistance to body. If the Vitamin C intake reduces it will induce blood pressure. A person needs at least 60 mg of vitamin C a day. Fruits like orange, bitter guard, green chillies, guava and papaya are rich source of this life-saving vitamin.
Allicin in garlic has the power to expand heart valves, which in turn helps in reducing blood pressure. Lycopene in tomatoes too can prevent BP. So include garlic and tomato in your dishes or eat them uncooked. The betakaroten, and Vitamin B complexes in brocoli is proved to be a touch defender again heart attacks.
It can even prevent cancer and other heart ailments. Intake of 250 ml beetroot juice could also prevent and control all heart-related diseases. Apart from these vegetables and fruits onion, celery etc can also prevent cardio-vascular diseases.
