Some other diseases that may produce constipation as their side effect/s are: intestinal obstruction, scar tissue or adhesions, Hirschsprung’s disease, and neurological disorders including stroke, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.

Constipation can also be the side effect of some medications like iron supplements, anticonvulsants, medications for pain, Antiparkinson medications, hypertension drugs, diuretics, antacids, antispasmodics, and antidepressants.
