Fruit Juices – An Effective Constipation Remedy

Constipation not only brings discomfort, it can cause many diseases, if we don’t try to get rid of it as early as possible. You must have tried many remedies, of which some are effective and some are not. Apple juice and other fruit juices are very effective remedies for getting rid of mild as well as chronic constipation.

For mild case of constipation use the following remedy.

Apple And Pear Juice

Prepare juice with equal quantity of fresh apple and pear. Drink a glass of this juice one hour before going to bed and early morning when you wake up. Pears contain minerals and vitamins that work very well to clean the colon, kidney and stimulate the blood cells.

Apple Juice And Prune Juice

Drinking apple juice in combination with prune juice can remove chronic constipation. Early morning drink 1 glass of prune juice and half hour later drink 1cup of apple juice. Drink another cup of apple juice 1 hour later. It will have great laxative effect and can remove chronic constipation. Prefer fresh apple juice than store bought pasteurized apple juice.

Buy juice that is sold in glass containers. Avoid juice stored in plastic container. Combination of these two juices is excellent remedy for constipation. Prunes are also great iron supplement for those who are anemic.

Apple Juice, Figs And Raisins

Blend a cup of fresh apple juice with few figs and raisins and prepare a juice that is not very thick. Continue drinking this juice in the morning until you get relief from constipation.

Mulberry Juice

Mulberry juice is an excellent remedy to remove constipation among elders. It contains many vitamins and minerals that can stimulate digestion and can strengthen the digestive tract and help to get relief from digestive tract diseases.

Boysenberry juice has laxative effect, when you are suffering from mild constipation.



Mix 1/2 cup of black berries with 1/2 cup of distilled water and blend well to get a smooth juice. Drinking this juice early morning will make your bowel movement regular.

Cherries can have very good laxative effect because they are high in antioxidants, potassium, fiber, folic acid, vitamin B-1, B-2. They neutralize body acid.


Drinking any of these juices in between meals can help to treat constipation and improve digestion.
