The scalp should be massaged regularly. By doing massage, blood circulation of the scalp increases and the hair roots are stimulated. This results in better nutrition to hair and good hair growth.
If your hair has turned brittle and red in colour, it can be due to anaemia. In such cases, taking iron with folic acid supplements will help. Increase the amount of protein in your diet. Meat, soybeans, beans, pulses, etc are good sources of proteins.
Take good care of your hair. Do not use harsh shampoo on hair. Always wash your hair with lukewarm to cold water twice weekly. Never use hot water; it damages your hair shaft. Using an herbal shampoo is best option for you.
You can make your own shampoo by adding 100g of Acacia concinna, Indian gooseberry, and Sapindus Mukorossi (Soap nuts) to 2 litres of water and use it. It acts as a shampoo with conditioner. Save your hair from pollution and dirt in atmosphere by covering them with a scarf whenever the winds are strong.
Apply a paste of onion and honey over the area of scalp where hair is sparse. Apply for about 25 minutes and wash off. You can also use castor oil on regular basis. Warm the castor oil,
so that its thickness reduces and then apply it. This makes your thin hair thick. Applying mixture of jojoba oil and olive oil also proves beneficial. Along with any one of these methods, apply coconut milk over scalp once a week, leave it overnight and then wash it with a mild shampoo.
If you have dandruff, apply curd on the scalp and leave it for 20 minutes, then wash off. Do this once a week for 2-3 months to get rid of dandruff. You can try any one or two of these methods. But you have to follow them regularly for 2-3 months to see positive results.
