Cucumber face masks can be prepared by mixing one cucumber and a cup of oatmeal to form a paste like substance. Add yogurt if your skin is oily and milk if your skin is dry to the paste in equal proportions. Apply the mask on face and neck for half an hour and rinse with water.

Turmeric is a wonderful agent forskin whitening. Blend together half cup of gram flour, two tbsp each of turmeric powder and sandal wood powder, two tbsp of ghee or oil along with water and form a paste. It can be applied on face and the entire body. Leave it for ten minutes. Rinse it off with water by gently massaging the skin with your fingers.

Wash your face with warm water to remove the dust and open up the pores. Apply honey on your face and neck for about half an hour and wash it with warm water. Now rinse your face with cold water to close the pores.

For people with oily skin, a mixture of brewer’s yeast and yogurt is recommended. Apply this mixture on areas of the skin which are oily and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Wash off the mixture with warm water and then rinse your face with cold water.

For people withdry skin, a blend of one tbsp of butter in one tbsp of water is quite effective. Apply it on the dry areas for 15-20 minutes. Then wash your face with cold water and get rid of dry patches.

To treat wrinkles, mashed banana can be applied on the skin and left for 20 minutes. Wash the face with warm water and then cold water to close the pores. Similarly a mask made of mashed avocado is quite effective. Apply the mask on the face for 20 minutes.

Wash first with warm water and then with cold water. Two tbsp of oatmeal can be blended with one tbsp of baking soda and some water to form a paste. Apply it on the face and neck and leave for 5 minutes. Gently rinse the skin with water.
