Homemade Packs for Wrinkles

Wrinkles appear on the skin due to various reasons from aging to overexposure to wind, heat, chemicals, poor hydration and smoking. Those who spend a lot of time in the sun are worst affected as not only wrinkles but freckles, yellowing, roughness, visible blood vessels, and dark spots also appear on their skin. So, not just natural reasons but carelessness too can cause wrinkles on your face, neck and hands.

Causes of wrinkles

There are two primary supporting structures of the skin – collagen and elastin. Years of exposure to sun results in weakening and break down of these supporting structures.

With aging, the sweat and oil glands of the skin decreases causing it lose moisture and to dry out. This results in sagging and shrinking of the skin and formation of wrinkles.

The outer layer of skin starts to absorb water with prolonged water exposure. This causes uneven expansion of the skin and formation of wrinkles.

Crumpling of the skin can also be due to depletion of water in the body.

When the skin dries up, it normally looses essential protective functions and lacks suppleness resulting in formation of wrinkles.

Following are some tips to prepare homemade packs for wrinkles:

Honey anti-wrinkle mask: Take one and half tablespoons of hone and half teaspoon carrot juice and mix them well. Now apply this mixture on face for 20 minutes with a cotton ball dipped in soda bicarbonate water. This pack acts as an anti-wrinkles mask.

Banana mask: Mash a ripe banana and mix it with one teaspoon of rose water. Apply this mixture on face and neck and wash it off after 30 minutes. This is one of the useful way to reduce wrinkles.

Glycerin honey mask: Mix one tablespoon of glycerin and one tablespoon of honey and massage this pack on face and neck before going to bed. Rinse your face with soft water at morning.

Apple mask: Apples are rich in vitamins. Hence use mashed apple as a mask to treat wrinkles.

Carrot cream: First extract juice from two fifty grams of carrot. Add one teaspoon of almond oil in the juice and mix well. Let it cool in refrigerator for two hours and then apply on cheeks, around the eyes and the chin for 30 minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water. This is one of the good

homemade packs for wrinkles.

Mix a spoonful of onion juice with honey and apply it on face to remove blemishes and wrinkles.

Take juice of a few cabbage leaves, a tablespoon of honey and a little yeast. Mix them well to make a paste and apply on face and neck. Let it dry for 20 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. This is the best way to prevent wrinkles.

Spread an egg white over the skin near eyes and neck and let it dry for an hour. Then tae a cotton wool, dipped in ice cold water to wipe the skin.

Smoking, advancing age and dry skin also results in formation of wrinkles. Hence, moisten your lips with a coating of petroleum jelly every day. This prevents formation of small lines around the lips.

Make a paste of papaya and pat it around the mouth and lie down to remove wrinkles around mouth. This is one of the effective wrinkles prevention.

Apply equal parts of egg and glycerin with a little rose water on upper lips and wash it off after 15 minutes to remove fine wrinkles.

Mix milk cream and lime juice and apply on face for at least 30 days. This pack is effective for dry skins which are more prone to wrinkles. This is one of the best home remedies for wrinkles.

Make a paste of half teaspoon of ginger and honey and apply it every morning for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.

Wrinkles Treatment - Dissolve a vitamin C tablet in ½ teaspoon boiling water. Let the water cool and then add a small amount of eye cream, and gently apply the mixture under the eye and around the mouth.
