Home Remedies for Acne

Causes for Acne

Acne is a disarray of pilosebaceous unit, which is a combination of sebaceous glands and hair. These glands and hair are found almost on the entire body. The maximum numbers of pilosebaceous units are present on the upper neck, chest and face keeping the skin as well as the hair moisturized. The sebaceous glands expand and generate more sebum during adolescence. This generation of more sebum is due to the influence of hormones called androgens. Similarly, the sebum generation gets decreased after the age of 20.

Teenagers are the actual victims of acne. Some times even adults develop acne all of a sudden. Acne though embarrassing is a sign of teenagers maturity. This is the right age when these teenagers are exposed to the environment and are focused on various areas. This leads to plugging of sebum as well as bacteria, and the dead skin cells shed from the duct lining leading to acne.

Dos

Wash your face at least twice a day using mild soaps or non-cleanser mild soaps or soaps that are specially made for sensitive skin such as Dove soap that is unscented, and Neutrogena soaps. A yogurt mask is great for the skin! It especially can help acne and it moisturizes your skin, too.

#1. Boil some water in a large pot.

#2. take the pot off the stove and put your face over it and stay there for about 3-5 minutes. (This will open the pores so the yogurt mask will work more effectively.)

#3. Take about 2-4 tablespoons of fresh yogurt (organic is best!) and a cotton pad.

#4. take some of the yogurt and rub it across your face. keep doing this until you have a layer of yogurt on your face.

#5. keep it on your face for about 20-30 minutes.

#1 tip: while your steaming your face, you should have a towel covering you and the pot so no heat escapes.

#2 tip: it's best to do this mask every other day. You will see results in about two times after you use it.

Hopes this helps!!

Don't overwash your face! And don't stress over your acne!! I suggest any cleanser with exfoliating beads..which you can get at any drugstore..and get a toner with rosewater in it. And honestly, exercise so you can sweat. By sweating, you are cleaning out your pores.

Go to the doctors and have a chat with him/her about the acne, they will ask various Q's like "how long have you suffered with it for?" "what treatments have you tried?" if you have tried everything you can think of he will perscribe you antibiotics. works wonders (: honestly, it reduces the chemicals that make spots, reduces flamitry of the spots. It really does work, and its free ;)
