Home Remedies for Coronary Heart Disease

What is Coronary Heart Disease?

The circulatory system is made up of the heart and blood vessels. Blood vessels that return blood back to the heart are called veins. Vessels that carry blood away from the heart are called arteries. Arteries that supply blood to the heart are called coronary arteries. If these coronary arteries that carry oxygen and nutrients to the heart become obstructed, the flow of blood is cut off preventing the heart from getting the oxygen and nourishment it needs. The two most common causes of obstruction are arteriosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries and/or the presence of a thrombus, or blood clot. Either of these conditions can cause Coronary Heart Disease.

Symptoms of Coronary Heart Disease

Arteriosclerosis is responsible for most heart attacks. A heart attack may feel as if someone is applying intense pressure to the chest. This sensation may last for several minutes, often extending to the shoulder, arm, neck or jaw— and often accompanied by symptoms such as sweating, dizziness, shortness of breath and loss of speech. Some people feel intense pain, others hardly any at all. Many mistake the symptoms of a heart attack for indigestion, while a few having no symptoms at all, still may be having a “silent” heart attack.

These include heart failures, arrhythmias (irregular heart beats) and valve disorders. While a heart attack occurs because of an interruption in blood flow to the heart, heart failure occurs because of an inadequate blood flow from the heart—the heart fails to pump enough blood to meet the body’s needs. As serious as these coronary heart conditions sounds, you can prevent them, and you can also reverse them. And you do not need powerful prescription drugs or surgery to accomplish this. Fortunately, there are home remedies for Coronary Heart Disease—and they do work even if you are at high risk!

Preventing Coronary Heart Disease via Home Remedies

There are safe, natural alternatives to heart surgery and the other invasive therapies prescribed as a standard treatment for heart conditions. Alternative treatments that address the cause of coronary heart disease— not just the symptoms! Briefly stated, this involves nothing more than certain changes in a person’s lifestyle. And using natural home remedies for coronary heart disease will not only prevent a serious heart condition-- but it can also reverse it!

Just follow a low-fat, high-complex carbohydrate diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. The reason this diet works so well with atherosclerosis sufferers, is not so much that it is low in fat and cholesterol— but that it is high in the B vitamins. Eat broccoli, spinach and beets. Include fruits, grains, beans and legumes— which are low in fat and sources of complex carbohydrates, fiber and phytochemicals. Although these foods nourish and protect the heart, diet is only one of the home remedies for coronary heart disease.

Plenty of exercise, both as a preventative and therapeutic measure in heart disease, is most imperative! Walking, jogging, jumping rope, riding a horse or bicycle, swimming— anything to get the pulse rate up and the heart pumping! Not only would sufficient exercise in fresh air prevent most heart problems, but for those who survived a heart attack, exercise alone is the most importantof all the home remedies for coronary heart disease in assuring complete recovery and prolonging life!

If you’re like most people, you don’t get everything your heart and your body needs just from food. That’s why supplements are necessary to provide levels of vitamins and minerals you need for optimum health. B-Complex, C, and especially Vitamin E that protects all cells in the body from the damage caused by free radicals— and as an extra added bonus— slows down the aging process. Add to these, magnesium, essential fatty acids, flax and fiber, CoQ10, lecithin and garlic and there you have it-- the main ingredients in the home remedies for Coronary Heart Disease!
