Prevention and Cure for Nausea

Every time we are ill, it is common to feel nauseated. This is our body's basic reaction when something is not right. Thus, nausea is considered a symptom and not a sickness itself.

Common Symptoms of Nausea

Dizziness - This is a feeling of wooziness and lightheadedness. Your body feels weak and at most times, you find it hard to get up on your toes.

Stomach Pain - When you feel nauseated, you feel stomach pain and sometimes, you have the desire to vomit.

Sweating – You produce sweat the moment you get nauseous.

Causes of Nausea

You think that you are a healthy person. However, from time to time you feel nauseated. There are several conditions that result to feeling uncomfortable and dizzy. The following are just some common causes of Nausea:

Stress. This is a very common cause and any form of it is not healthy at all especially if you've been suffering from this for a long period of time. The worst kind of stress is the emotional stress.

Morning Sickness. This is another common condition usually experienced by pregnant women. In the case of early months of pregnancy, morning sickness happens very often.

Indigestion. You will feel nauseated whenever your digestive system does not function properly.

Sea and Motion Sickness. Not everybody experience this problem. Some travelers who are not accustomed to movement feel nauseated whenever they are confined in a moving vehicle.

Chemotherapy and other kinds of medicines. Nausea is often associated along with chemotherapy or when you are under some medication.

Overeating. Eating too much can make youfeel nauseated.

Alcohol and drugs. Over-consumption of these things cause dizziness.

Food intolerance. Sometimes your body reacts to certain foods that you intake. This is called food intolerance. Some people, for example, cannot eat dairy products or sugar products as their body cannot accept such foods.

Diseases or Illness. There are several diseases or illness that causes nausea such as fever, diarrhea, depression, diabetes, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, gallstones headache, cancer, weakness, abdominal pain, vomiting, etc.

Natural and Home Remedies for Nausea

Nausea is not something that you have to be careful about. Do not let yourself suffer. Even at home, you can cure nausea using simple and natural means. Just follow these suggestions:

Emptying your stomach. Most times, when you feel nauseated you want to vomit. By vomiting, your body takes out all the unwanted substances in your stomach, which may be the cause of your nausea in the first place.

Drinking non-carbonated syrup. Non-carbonated syrup contains carbohydrates. One to two tablespoons of this help calm down upset stomach and is a very good natural remedies for nausea.

Ginger - Ginger is a very good home Remedies for Nausea and by mixing this to your favorite tea, you'd get quick relief to your dizziness.

Ginger root - Two capsules of gingerroot provide instant relief and serves as great nausea home remedies.

Tea. Some teas like peppermint or chamomile have the soothing effect in our body. This is one of the good nausea treatment.

Different herbs - Other natural Remedies for nausea are Slippery elm, red raspberry, different herbal candies, mild tea or ginger ale helps soothe your stomach.

Rice Water - For 10 to 20 minutes, boil 1/2 cup of rice in 1 cup water. Afterwards, drain it and drink the rice water. This is the good diet for nausea.

Wheatgerm. If you are suffering from morning sickness, mix few teaspoons of wheatgerm with milk. Consuming this mixture every hour will help diminish the sickness. This is one of the good nausea treatment.

Cider Vinegar. This is another good home remedy for nausea that could help get rid of morning sickness especially for pregnant women. Mix 1 tablespoon cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon honey to a glass of cold water and consume it every bedtime.

Cumin seeds. 1/2 teaspoon grounded cumin seed help relieve vomiting and nausea. This is one of efficient nausea cure.

Apart from these natural remedies, you may want to try Acupressure. This is done by applying pressure between your forefinger and thumb. When you know where the right pressure points are and when acupressure is done right, the queasiness will slowly go away. This is a good nausea remedy.

For people who suffer from nausea, it is better to consume smaller amounts of food. Fiber rich foods like banana, rice, apple sauce and toast are good for you once you feel your body is going back to normal. We all know that vegetables and fruits are always healthy and oily stuff like junk foods or spicy foods is a big no-no.

The Acupressure remedy above realy did work for me I was feeling so sick to my stomach and tried it well IT WORKED, I couldn't belive it. Just feel around there press in every which spot and you will find yours. Mine was right inthe middle closer to my hand bone. Thanks
