Your skin consists of three layers. These are the epidermis, dermis, and the hypodermis. The epidermis is the outer layer of your skin. The dermis is the middle layer of your skin and the hypodermis is your inner layer of your skin. Your epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis provide different functions. Each one has a different purpose and they are also constantly changing their states. Every twenty eight days, your epidermis, which is the outer covering of your skin, is being shed off. The peeling off of your epidermis is known to be influenced by different factors. These factors usually are the outside environment, exposure to sun, hydration, and the beauty products you use on your skin.

Skin peeling is a natural process of your skin. In skin peeling it is the epidermis that is being peeled off. However, there are some instances wherein skin peeling is caused by medical conditions like viral infection, over exposure to sunlight or sunburn, staph, and excessive perspiration. Erythroderma: Erythroderma is a skin condition that is caused by thickening of the skin and skin flaking.

Home remedies for Peeling Skin

One of the home remedies for peeling skin include using certain natural products to take care of the skin. Cucumber is known to heal skin peeling. Just grate a cucumber and apply it over the affected area for about 20 minutes. Apply this regularly. Cucumber acts as a natural moisturizer for your dry skin.

One of the effective home remedy for peeling skin is the application of fresh mint. This can be used to treat peeling skin. You can extract some juice from the fresh mint and apply it overnight over the affected area to prevent dryness. Fresh mint is also a good remedy for dermatitis and eczema. This is one of the effective natural remedy for peeling skin.

Olive oil, honey, turmeric and sandalwood are also very important peeling skin home remedies. These help in rejuvenating your parched and dry skin. Just mix and make a paste from these three mixtures using your food processor and apply it over the affected areas everyday.

Another effective peeling skin treatment is smearing honey on the peeling area in the head and massaging it gently. You can then leave it for 45 minutes and wash off your hair.

You can massage your hair with warm coconut oil regularly. You can then wrap a warm towel around your hair and leave it for a few minutes before shampooing. This is one of the effective peeling skin cure.

One of the very effective home remedies for peeling skin is putting apple cider vinegar on your hair and massaging very well. You can leave it there for a few minutes and can then wash off.
