This is because the stomach is a very vital organ in the digestive system, and every day several times the stomach has to cope up with the different varieties of food that we ingest into our bodies. Get Rid of Stomach Disorders
Most stomach disorders can be easily avoided simply by regulating the food that we eat. The following are some guidelines that must be followed in order to avoid common stomach problems:-
(i) Keep your diet simple. Always include some green leafy vegetables in the daily food because they provide the necessary fiber for the digestion of food.
(ii) Do not overload your stomach with food. Eat only according to your capacity of digestion.
(iii) It is okay to have heavy food once a while like when you are attending wedding receptions or other social gatherings, but do not overdo it. Drink a glass of soda with a dash of lemon juice in it after a heavy meal. It helps to digest the food.
(iv) Never go to bed immediately after dinner. Go for a walk, or do some of your work. Keep at least a two-hour gap between the completion of dinner and going to bed.
(v) Avoid foods that you cannot digest.
(vi) Red meats like beef, pork and lamb are more difficult to digest by the human body compared to the other foods. Hence, the intake of these foods must be minimized.
(vii) Do not take lots of antibiotics. They build up the heat in the digestive system and retard the digestive process. They can cause severe problems such as constipation, diarrhea, stomachaches, cramps and other such problems.
(viii) Drink plenty of water and other fluids. This is necessary for the proper movement of the bowels and digestion. The intake of water must be almost doubled in the summer season.
